1 Bathroom Set within the centuries-old Jacob’s Barracks—right at the edge of Riga’s Old Town—this third-floor apartment offers a practical, self-contained stay in one of the city’s most characterful locations. Modest in style but comfortably equipped, the space includes a compact kitchenette, dining area, bathroom, and a living area with one queen size bed and two single beds. On-site parking is available at the building entrance for €24 per 24 hours (Europark Jēkaba Arkāde parking lot).
The apartment includes:
Kitchenette with essentials for simple cooking: a portable electric stove, fridge, kettle, Senseo coffee machine, dishes, and basic pantry items. Enjoy your meals at the dining table which seats four.
The main sleeping area includes one queen-size bed and two single beds, making it suitable for families or friends traveling together. A work desk, generous closet space, and fast Wi-Fi support longer stays or remote work days.
The bathroom features a combined bath/shower, toilet, and sink, with a hairdryer provided. Iron and ironing board, as well as a baby high chair, are also available.
Windows overlook a quiet inner courtyard and parking area, buffered by trees—an unusual calm for such a central location. While there’s no elevator, the short climb rewards you with a retreat tucked above street-level noise.
Just downstairs, you’ll find cafés and restaurants, while Riga’s green heart—Bastejkalns Park and the city canal—is just a minute away.
You cannot have a better location - all tourist attractions are just few steps away (Līvu square, Freedom Monument, Cat's House, House of Blackheads, St. Peter's Church etc.). There is a nice, trendy cafe on the first floor of the building, and and many more within walking distance. You can also easily order food to your home by using Wolt services and your dinner will be delivered right to the apartment.
1. Smoking inside the property is strongly prohibited. Penalty for smoking = 200.00 EUR (requested through Airbnb resolution centre). The penalty covers the expenses of ozone generator to remove the odour, as well as the expenses of accommodating the next guests in a different property for 1 night.
Additional fees apply in case if any fabrics (curtains, sofa, rugs etc.) smell and need special treatment/cleaning.
2. No parties or events allowed (penalty fees will apply).
3. Confetti, glitter and balloons are not allowed in the property. Extra cleaning fee will apply if any of those are used in the property..
4. No unregistered guests allowed (penalty fees will apply for every unregistered guest).
5. No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
Later check-out's are not possible, but there are luggage storage options (contact us for more information).
Heating season in Riga begins when average temperature drops below 8 degrees celsius (usually first week of October, sometimes sooner or later) and ends sometime in April. We have one portable electric heater to heat the place at any time of the year.
Apartment is located on the third floor of the building (1st floor = ground floor), there is no elevator.
PARKING:
The building is right next to Europark Jēkaba Arkāde parking lot, which costs 24.00 EUR per 24 hours (00:00-24:00). Cheaper option is underground parking on Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5 (6min walk), which cost 12.00 EUR for 24 hours.
