Apartment is located within a stone’s throw of the major sights, museums and transport connections. The medieval Riga Dome Square is just around the corner. Some of the many places to see in the neighbourhood are the beautiful promenade along Latvia’s main river, the Daugava, and Riga’s unique central market — the largest in Europe. A wide variety of cafes, restaurants, bars and nightclubs are just around the corner. The Galerija Centrs shopping centre is nearby and has dozens of fashion chains, boutiques and electronics stores, all right here within Old Riga.
1. Events are allowed, but must be coordinated with us. If you plan on having more than 6 guests during the event, additional fees apply. Please contact us in order to arrange an event.
2. Smoking inside the property is strongly prohibited. Penalty for smoking = 200.00 EUR (requested through Airbnb resolution centre). The penalty covers the expenses of ozone generator to remove the odour, as well as the expenses of accommodating the next guests in a different property for 1 night.
Additional fees apply in case if any fabrics (curtains, sofa, rugs etc.) smell and need special treatment/cleaning. You are allowed to smoke on the terrace, with terrace door closed.
3. No unauthorised parties or events allowed (penalty fees will apply).
4. Confetti and glitter are not allowed in the property. Extra cleaning fee will apply if any of those are used in the property.
5. Balloons are allowed, however, you must remove them yourselves (gather them together and let the air out), otherwise extra service fee applies.
6. No unregistered guests allowed (penalty fees will apply for every unregistered guest).
7. No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
Please note that the apartment is situated on the sixth floor (1st floor = ground floor, 5 flights of stairs), and there is no elevator in the building. While the climb may require a little extra effort, the stunning views from the terrace more than make up for it.
Later check-out's are not possible, but there are luggage storage options (contact us for more information).
Being right in the heart of Old Town has its perks, as you'll have easy access to the vibrant energy of the area. However, please be aware that some noise from the nearby pubs and restaurants may be audible during the night. Nevertheless, the lively atmosphere also means you'll have plenty of entertainment options right at your doorstep.
Additionally, during windy weather you can hear noises cause by the wind.
The heating season in Riga is from October until the first warm days in March/April, so there might be no heating if you visit in April/late September.
The building is located at the beginning of a pedestrian street and there is no parking by the building. There is street parking available within 2 minute walk from the apartment, but it is expensive (up to 8 EUR/h), as it is the Old Town.
There is cheaper street parking within 7-10 minute walk (11. novembra krastmala or Aspazijas bulvāris) - it costs 3.00 EUR/h, for free from 20:00 - 08:00 on weekdays, from 17:00 on Saturdays, and whole Sunday is for free).
Underground parking lot is also available, located within 10 minute walk (Europark Jēkaba Arkāde). It costs 24 EUR per 24 hours.
Another underground parking is located on Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5, it costs 12 EUR per 24 hours.
