The apartment is located on the main street of Riga - Brīvības iela, just 5 minute walk from the Freedom Monument and the Old Town.
This places you conveniently near all the major sights. Besides the Old Town, the Art Noveau quarter, which features the most beautiful buildings and local's favourite restaurants, is also only 5 minute walk from the apartment.
Shopping centre Galerija Riga is right across the street, featuring RIMI supermarket and multiple clothing stores, restaurants and a gym.
Everything is reachable by foot, but in case if you decide to head to other districts like Āgenskalns or the Open Air Museum, pulbic transport stop is within 2 minute walk.
1. Smoking inside the property is strongly prohibited. Penalty for smoking = 200.00 EUR (requested through Airbnb resolution centre). The penalty covers the expenses of ozone generator to remove the odour, as well as the expenses of accommodating the next guests in a different property for 1 night.
Additional fees apply in case if any fabrics (curtains, sofa, rugs etc.) smell and need special treatment/cleaning.
2. No parties or events allowed (penalty fees will apply).
3. Confetti, glitter and balloons are not allowed in the property. Extra cleaning fee will apply if any of those are used in the property..
4. No unregistered guests allowed (penalty fees will apply for every unregistered guest).
5. No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
Parking:
There is paid street parking in nearby streets - it costs 3.00 EUR per hour. It is for free from 20:00 - 08:00 on weekdays, from 17:00 on Saturday and whole Sunday is for free.
Parking lot 1 minute walk from the apartment costs 15 EUR for 24 hours.
Other details to note:
Apartment is located on 2nd floor (1st floor = ground floor), there is a small elevator (2-3 persons with no luggage, not possible to enter with wheelchair/baby stroller).
Heating season in Riga is between early October until late April, depending on the temperature outside.
